Fluid Form
Object shows flowing motion with the use of cutting strips through the plastic sheet material. The repeating of the bends (curves) formed by the tension on the material, are visually appealing. They in able the viewers eye to travel smoothly around the form. Created from one flat sheet, layered and twisted. Fluid form shown like water ripples by shadows. The form is attached, fix together with a single sewing pin. Using the pin in able me to layer the plastic so it could move into its natural form.
Form was developed over many trials and errors. Starting with cutting slits in paper and then layering up the corners, this constructed a wave like shape with one large curve followed by a smaller curve. When using the same method but with the use of the sheet of plastic a very different form was produced because of the strength and the restricted flexibility of the plastic. This ended up creating a more smooth, following fluid form, which meant the form was showing the specification that were in my brief.
